Afi Ese
Texas Chapter
Afi Ese is a Black American figurative narrative artist living in Houston, Texas. She holds a master of science in forensic psychology with a concentration in art therapy. Ese’s work focuses on Black urban portraiture juxtaposed with African diasporic history. Her paintings are conceptualized narratives of the African plight through the eyes of a self-aware Black American.

Melissa Reischman
Southern California Chapter
Melissa Reischman was born in Portland, OR. She studied graphic design at the Colorado Institute of Art earning an AA degree. She now lives and works in Los Angeles. She studied painting with Richard Bunkhall and Ray Turner at Art Center College of Design, and Art History at Glendale College. She is now focusing full time on her art.

Christina Sears

CM Sears is an essayist, poet, fiction writer, and interdisciplinary artist. CM graduated with a Master of Arts from Eastern Michigan University in Ypsilanti, MI, returning to school after a long career as a professional dancer. Corinna Nicole
Alabama Chapter
Since 2012, Corinna has been inspired by the natural phenomena of Murmurations, or Starling flock formations. Corinna Nicole received her B.A. in Art at the University of Montevallo in 2008, and in 2011 she completed her M.F.A. in Art Practice at UC Berkeley.

Laura Abrams
Northern California Chapter
My art embraces a varied, colorful aesthetic influenced by intricate patterns, jigsaw puzzles, nature, dance, theater, and jazz. I love shiny surfaces and glitter, while also incorporating found items, evocative photos, and organic materials in multilayered assemblages. Recent art is focused on a series of habitat works, using a variety of evocative materials and drawings to expose the lived realities behind beautiful calendar images.

Ann Pham
Washington DC Area Chapter
Ann’s paintings are abstract and portray progress, struggle, and introspective growth through a variety of subjects that are inspired by her life experiences. Ann’s ultimate goal is to share a deep sense of peace, a spark of reflection, and a renewed appreciation for our journey and existence. As a vegan, Ann’s upcoming projects will focus on advocating for animals. Her two pups have taught her a great deal about our interconnectedness with each other, our planet and all beings.

Giliane Bader
Southern California Chapter
My work, created with many layers of acrylic paint and occasional collage, comes from a place of joy. My sensitivity to nature along with meditation practices are my source of inspiration. I work with acrylic paints, graphite, collage, painted papers, on several paintings at a time. When in the studio, I am fully engaged in a process of exploration, with an increasing focus on color. Feeling alive and present is what art is all about for me.

Monica J. Brown
Chicago Chapter Chapter
Monica J. Brown explores memory, history and personal mythology through visual art, sound, movement, writing and performance. Her visual art has been exhibited widely throughout Chicago, nationally and internationally. Monica is a Ucross fellow, and has attended residencies at Atlantic Center for the Arts, Ragdale, and Dorland Mountain Arts Colony, among others. She has received Individual Artist Program grants from Chicago Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events, and Individual Artist Support grants from the Illinois Arts Council Agency.

The opening party is on August 12 from 5-7pm at the Harris Center for Conservation in Hancock. A group of us painted there a few weeks back specifically for this exhibit.
